RESOLUTION NO. 6350-A-~9 <br /> <br /> BY: Brown, 0~innock, Gallagher, <br />Gazzana, George, Graham, Wendling <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to honor' the St. Edward Eagles Wrestling <br />Team, winning its eleventh Class AAA State Title in twelve years, <br />and becoming Ohio's all-time leader in state titles. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, special commendation and recognition is due to <br />all members of the St. Edward Wrestling Team and Coach Howard <br />Ferguson and his staff for their outstanding performance at this <br />year's 52nd Annual State Wrestling Tournament, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lakewood City Council wishes to extend its <br />expression of pride in the accomplishments of this wrestling <br />team, as well as our appreciation for the fine publicity they <br />have brought to our community by their good sportsmanship and <br />inspired wrestl lng abi I ities, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council realizes and appreciates the <br />dedication and committment which the wrestlers and coaches and <br />staff have demonstrated in order to accomplish this enviable <br />feat, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by their outstanding accomplishments, the St. <br />Edward High School Eagles Wrestling Team has brought due <br />recognition and honor, not only to themselves, but to the entire <br />Lakewood community--which accomplishments should be recognized in <br />a proper ~nd fitting manner; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. On behalf of the residents of Lakewood, the <br />Lakewood City Council extends to the St. Edward High School <br />Eagles Wrestling Team congratulations for its outstanding <br />athletic achievements during the 1988-89 high school wrestling <br />season. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be, and she is <br />hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of <br />this Resolution to the St. Edward High School Eagles Wrestling <br />Team, c/o Coach Howard Ferguson, St. Edward High School Main <br />Office, 13500 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio 44107, and that a <br />copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />PRES I DENT <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
