Chinnock, Gallagher <br /> <br />Gazzana, George, Graham, Wendlin <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, for and <br />behalf of the City of Lakewood, to accept as a gift to the City <br />Lakewood the sum of $13,000.00 from the Commission on Aging, Inc. <br /> <br />on <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Commission On Aging, Inc. has <br />approved a gift to the City of Lakewood in the amount of <br />expend the position of Share and Care Coordinator, and <br /> <br />unanimously <br />$13,000 to <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such grant is to be used exclusively to pay the <br />salary and benefits for such position, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such position is an outstanding service <br />Senior Community and this grant will enable the City to <br />additional services to our most vunerable elders, and <br /> <br />to our <br />provide <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal corporation; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />and directed to accept as a gift to the City of Lakewood from the <br />Lakewood Commission On Aging, Inc., the sum of 13,000.00, which funds <br />are to be used to expand the position of Share and Care Coordinator of <br />the Department of Aging to fulltime to implement additional services <br />to our elder citizens. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br />resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br />all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br />public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take <br />effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />PRVESIDENT <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
