RESOLUTION NO. 6378-89 <br /> <br /> BY: Gallagher, <br />Gazzana, George, Graham, Wendling <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION honoring Lakewood resident Thomas Greiner <br />on being named 1989 Business Person of the Year by the Lakewood <br />Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Thomas and his wife Jan have four children, <br />the three oldest attending Lincoln and Horace Mann Schools where <br />both parents are active in the P.T.A.; their youngest beginning <br />kindergarten in the fall, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Thomas is the principal partner in the firm of <br />Wehn, Greiner & Bischof, C.P.A. located in the heart of <br />Lakewood's business district, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the firm, then located in the Hanna Building <br />was originally bought by Thomas in 1974, and having joined with <br />partner, Ralph Bischof, moved to Lakewood in 1981, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, through hard work and fairness to clients, the <br />business has expanded and prospered, specializing in assisting <br />small businesses in developing their potential by meeting agreed <br />upon goals, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the aforementioned is accomplished through <br />their Department of Tax Compliance, the Department of Financial <br />Reporting, and General Business Consulting, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, volunteerism stemming from both his family and <br />business affiliations, is an integral part of Tom,s life in the <br />areas of Boy Scouts, drug abuse and teenagers which led to his <br />involvement with educational systems and fund raising, and his <br />deep commitment to Elder Care which comes from concern for his <br />elderly clients; all of which deserve recognition by this <br />Council; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council for and on behalf of the <br />citizens of Lakewood hereby honors Thomas Greiner on being named <br />1989 Business Person of the Year by the Lakewood Chamber of <br />Commerce. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
