RESOLUTION NO. 6382-89 <br /> <br /> Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br />BY~azzana,? George, Graham, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the <br />Director of Law and/or Director of Finance to enter into a <br />contract with The Justinian Publishing Company to update and <br />revise the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a ~odification of the Charter and all <br />ordinances and resolutions of the City of Lakewood has last <br />been performed in 1986, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May: 8, 1989 and May 15, 1989, two (2) <br />firms submitted written proposals regarding updating and <br />revising the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Justinian Publishing Company is well <br />qualified to perform the professional service with the lowest <br />and best proposal, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the usual and daily operation of all <br />the Departments and Divisions of the City of Lakewood; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Law and/or the <br />Director of Finance, for and on behalf of the City of Lakewood <br />be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract for professional services substantially in the <br />form of contract attached hereto. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this Council determines that this <br />resolution and the contract attached hereto are in accordance <br />with Chapter 111 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all <br />formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to .the <br />passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of <br />this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council <br />and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action <br />were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal <br />requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this resolution is hereby declared <br />to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the <br />preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote <br />of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and <br />approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be <br />in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted: ~ 31 /~ ~~ <br /> ~/ ~ ' PRESIDENT <br /> <br />Appr °Ve~~. ~/~f <br /> <br /> <br />
