RESOLUTION NO. 6390-89 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Gazzana, George, Graham, Wendling AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION withdrawing the objection of Council to the renewal of C1, C2 and D6 liquor permits issued to May Abboud d/b/a Winners for an establishment located at 16214 Madison Avenue, in the City. of Lakewood, and repealing Resolution No. 6176-87 adopted August 25, 1987. WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 6176 adopted August 25, 1987, this CounCil objected to the renewal of Cl, C2 and D6 liquor permits issued to May Abboud d/b/a Winners for an establishment located at 16214 Madison Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio, and WHEREAS, said permit holders have indicated to the City that they are desirous of selling their present liquor establishment, but have been unable to do so because of the objection by the City to the renewal of their liquor permits, and WHEREAS, under these circumstances and in consideration thereof, this Council deems it appropriate to withdraw the objection to the renewal of Cl, C2 and D6 liquor permits issued to May Abboud d/b/a Winners for an establishment located at 16214 Madison Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio; and WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now therefore, ' BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That in consideration of the agreement of the permit holders to sell their liquor establishment, this Council authorizes and directs the Director of Law to withdraw Council's objection to the renewal of Cl, C2 and D6 liquor permits issued to May Abboud d/b/a Winners for an establishment located at 16412 Madison Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio. Section 2. That Resolution No. 6176-87 adopted August 25, 1987, shall be and the same is hereby repealed. Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. Section 4. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law.
