RESOLUTION NO. 64 14-89 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Gazzana, George, Graham, Wendling <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Bruce Caudill for demonstrating a high <br />degree of courage and fortitude when faced with a task unusual for <br />children his age. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Bruce Caudill played an integral role in the <br />identification and arrest of an arsonist in the City of Lakewood, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Bruce Caudill cooperated in the prosecution of an <br />arsonist in court by not only identifying him, but also by withstanding <br />cross examination, despite his young age and great fear of the defendant, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Bruce Caudill's eyewitness testimony was instrumental <br />in the conviction of the arsonist on four counts of aggravated arson and <br />three counts of attempted murder, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Bruce Caudill was only seven years old at the time of <br />the fire and was barely eight years old when his testimony was given; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council extends to Bruce Caudill its <br />appreciation and that of all of the citizens of this community for his <br />actions and courage. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
