<br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Anthony C. Sinagra for his public
<br />service as Mayor of the City of Lakewood.
<br /> WHEREAS, Anthony C. Sinagra, was elected ~o the office of
<br />Mayor of the City of Lakewood for a term commencing January 1, 1978,
<br />and has served continuously in that capacity until the present, and
<br /> WHEREAS, the three members of Council currently retiring
<br />from service, Thomas C. Brown, William F. Chinnock and Trudy Wendling,
<br />have served continuously with Anthony C. Sinagra, since his assumption
<br />of the duties of the Office of Mayor, and
<br /> WHEREAS, these years have seen the leadership of Anthony C.
<br /> Sinagra, and his administration, with the cooperation of Council bring
<br /> to fruition great and innovative programs such as the Storefront
<br /> Renovation Program, Crime Prevention Programs, Youth programs tax
<br /> abatement homestead exemptions, Litterless Lakewood and recycling
<br /> programs, pocket parks and open space, acquisition of property for
<br /> parking, implementation of handicap access programs; expansion of
<br /> recreational and senior citizens programs, traffic signalization and
<br /> maintenance of our City's infrastructure, all while maintaining the
<br /> highest degree of fiscal responsibility which has enabled this City to
<br /> achieve and maintain a AA bond rating, and
<br /> WHEREAS, during thistwelve year service together, this
<br /> Council has observed Mayor Anthony C. Sinagra, as a conscientious,
<br /> effective and respected public official working diligently and
<br /> extensively for the promotion, progress and betterment of the City of
<br /> Lakewood and its residents, with integrity, innovativeness, and
<br /> dedication to public service and it has been an honor and a pleasure
<br /> to serve and work with Anthony C. Sinagraw and his administration for
<br /> those goals, and
<br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that such outstanding
<br /> public service rendered by Anthony C. Sinagra, be given public
<br /> cognizance and recognition; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD,' STATE OF OHIO:
<br /> Section 1. That this Council extends to Anthony C. Sinagra,
<br /> its appreciation and the appreciation of all of the citizens of this
<br /> community for his years of distinguished public service as Mayor of
<br /> the City of Lakewood and further that this Council wishes him
<br /> continued years of success, health and prosperity.
<br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby
<br /> authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution
<br /> to Anthony C. Sinagra, 1218 Webb Road, Lakewood, Ohio 44107, and that
<br /> a copy of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting.
