RESOLUTION NO. 6441-90' <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, <br /> George, Graham, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION appointing NANCY J. ROTH <br />to the vacancy in the office of Council Ward 4. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in the office of Council Ward 4 of <br />the CitY of Lakewood as a consequence of the resignation of Councilman <br />John P. Gallagher from that office for the purpose of assuming the <br />position of Council At Large, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the remaining members of Council are empowered to <br />fill such vacancy pursuant to SeCtiOn 2 of Article III of the Amended <br />Charter of the City of Lakewood, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for immediate preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That NANCY J. ROTH is hereby <br />appointed t° the vacancy in the office of Council Ward 4 of the City <br />of Lakewood pursuant to Section 2 of Article Iii of the Amended <br />Charter. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br />resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br />all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br />public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure and it shall take ~i <br /> effect ely <br />after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted: ~ ~/ /~ <br /> <br /> <br />
