RESOLUTION NO. 6444-90 <br /> <br />By:Boscia, Gallagher, Gazza~ <br /> George, Graham, Roth, Smi! <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Thomas Dukles for his generous <br />act of volunteering to aid the City of Charleston, South Carolina, <br />and its victims of Hurricane Hugo. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on October 3, 1989, our City sent volunteer <br />Thomas Dukles .to aid the victimized city of Charleston, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Thomas Dukles courageously and willingly set <br />out, leaving behind familiar surroundings and comforts of home, to <br />help those in another municipality from uncivilized conditions, <br />and <br /> <br />stressful <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such a spontaneous act of volunteerism in a <br /> situation of entering the unknown saved his fellow man, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council believes it appropriate to commend <br />the courageous action of citizens willing to become involved; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council <br />Dukles its appreciation and that of all of <br />community for his courageous actions. <br /> <br />extends to Thomas <br />the citizens of this <br /> <br /> Section 2.
