RESOLUTION NO. 6448-90 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, George, <br /> Graham, Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public Works <br />to advertise for bids for the purchase of fireworks program for July <br />4, 1990 and to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder <br />after advertising as provided by law. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes am emergency measure in <br />that it is essential to bid such contracts at the earliest possible <br />time and in that it provides for the health, safety and welfare as <br />well as the regular operation of a municipal department; now, there- <br />fore: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids as provided by <br />law for the fireworks program for July 4, 1990. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That subject to appropriation in the Annual Budget <br />for the City of Lakewood, the Director of Public Works be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract for the <br />purchase of said fireworks display program with the lowest and best <br />bidder after advertising as provided by law. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions <br />of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br />resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this council, and that <br />all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br />public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and ~proval by the~rwise, <br />it shall take effect and be~ after l~ll~ /earliest ~riod <br />allowed by law. <br /> <br /> Clerk' ' ~' <br />Appr°vo~~I~ ~'/~ ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
