RESOLUTION NO. 6472-90 <br /> <br />By: Boscia, Gallagher, George <br /> Graham <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION cancelling the regularly <br />March 5, 1990 meeting of City Council. <br /> <br />scheduled <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the regularly scheduled meetings of City Council <br />are established by Council rules as set forth in the Administrative <br />Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, specifically <br />Chapter 121 thereof, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such rules provide that Council may amend, alter, <br />adopt new rules or suspend rules as to meetings or measures, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a majority of Council shall be absent from the <br />City on March 5, 1990, attending the League of Cities conference and a <br />quorum of Council will not be available for that regularly scheduled <br />meeting, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, attendance of members of Council at such events is <br />in the public interest and contributes significantly to the operation <br />of City Council thereby benefitting all citizens of our community, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this emergency resolution provides for the usual <br />daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That pursuant to Section 121.02 and 121.11 of <br />the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />Lakewood, the regularly scheduled meeting of Lakewood City Council of <br />March 5, 1990, is hereby suspended or cancelled and the docket thereof <br />shall be held in conjunction with the meeting of Council scheduled for <br />March 19, 1990. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br />resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br />all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br />public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br /> shall take <br /> law. <br /> <br />CLERK <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
