RESOLUTION NO.. 6497-90 <br /> <br /> BY: Boscia, Gallagher, <br />Gazzana, George, Graham, Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Antoinette "Toni" Gelsomino for her <br />public service as Director of Child Care Programs at the Lakewood <br />YMCA,~ in the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Toni Gelsomino has served as head of the School Age <br />Child Care Program at the Lakewood Y and Harrison School Summer <br />Program for a period of four years, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during that service she developed <br />kinder care and ten before and after school day care <br />Lakewood elementary schools, and <br /> <br />two half-day <br /> programs in <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Toni Gelsomino developed various training programs, <br />including staff training sessions for caregivers and the Step Training <br />Program, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Toni Gelsomino founded the School Age Child Care <br />Parent Advisory Board, was an initial member of the Professional <br />School Age Child Care Providers Board, and an initial member of the <br />Lakewood Child Care Services Advisory Board, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Toni Gelsomino has actively participated in the <br />Westshore Coalition of Non-profit Day Care Centers, was one of- the <br />founders of Lakewood Early Child Care Professionals and contributed <br />significantly to many other child care programs in our community, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Toni Gelsomino is leaving her position at the <br />Lakewood YMCA as of June 7, 1990, and because such outstanding public <br />service should be recognized; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor extend to <br />Antoinette Gelsomino their apppreciation and that of the citizens of <br />this community for her dedicated service at the Lakewood YMCA and the <br />various community programs in which she has been involved, and further <br />that they wish her continued years of success, health and prosperity <br />in new her endeavors. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution <br />to Antoinette Gelsomino, 17609 Lakewood Heights Boulevard, Lakewood, <br />Ohio, 44107, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the <br />minutes of this meeting. ~/'~ <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />June 5, 1990 <br /> <br /> <br />
