RESOLUTION NO. 6506-90 <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, <br />George, Graham, Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION declaring the month of September as Women's <br />Health Month in Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, women comprise over <br />population of Lakewood, and <br /> <br />fifty <br /> <br />percent of the <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the health and welfare of women are critical to <br />the continued viability of the City, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the health> status and quality of life of women <br />can be enhanced by prevention and early detection efforts, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council and the Mayor of the City of Lakewood <br />give due recognition and cognizance to health of each and every <br />woman in this community; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor of the City of <br />Lakewood do hereby establish the month of September as "Women's <br />Health Month'' throughout the City and encourage continued and <br />expanded sensitivity to the health and emotional needs of women <br />and further encourage women to take action to protect and <br />enhance their health. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this <br />Resolution to the Division of Health, City of Lakewood and <br />that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of <br />this meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
