RESOLUTION NO. 6516-90 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gazzana, Graham, <br /> Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to conurtend Donald D. Hadsell for his <br />service as Assistant Director of Planning and Development and <br />Director of Planning and Development of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br />public <br />Acting <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Donald D. Hadsell, was appointed Assistant Director <br />of Planning and Development of the City of Lakewood on July 8, 1985, <br />and in early 1989 to the position of Acting Director of Planning and <br />Development, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, his ready acceptance of responsibility and his <br />willingness to make an extra effort in a difficult situation during <br />his tenure as Acting Director of Planning and Development are evidence <br />of Donald D. Hadsell's leadership ability, devotion to this City and <br />his desire to render outstanding public service, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Donald D. Hadsell served this community with <br />distinction as Assistant Director and Acting Director of the <br />Department of Planning and Development and served as a member of <br />various commissions and boards, including the Community Development <br />Corporation, the Planning Commission and various festival bodies, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his tenure with the City of Lakewood, he won <br />the respect and affection of his collegues in the administration and <br />City Council by his leadership and dedication to the betterment of our <br />community, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under his leadership and direction the Department <br />of Planning and Development achieved an enviable performance and <br />service record particularly with regard to the development and <br />administration of Community Development Programs including Block Grant <br />Funds, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Donald D. Hadsell has resigned his position with <br />the City of Lakewood effective September 16, 1990, to accept <br />appointment as Director of Community Development in Sarasota, Florida, <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor extend to Donald <br />D. Hadsell, their appreciation and that of the citizens of this <br />community for his distinguished public service to the City of Lakewood <br />and further that this Council and the Mayor, along with all the <br />citizens of the City of Lakewood, wish him continued years of success <br />in his endeavors. <br /> <br />Florida 34230, and that a copy of <br />minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution <br />to Donald D. Hadsell, 1639 Tenth Street, P.O.
