RESOLUTION NO. 6560-91 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, <br /> George, Graham, Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the printing, publi- <br />shing and distribution to the Council of the City~ of a Financial <br />Status Report, under the supervision and direction of the Director <br />of Finance, and hereby repealing Resolution No. 5494-80. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Article VIII, Section 3 of the Amended Charter <br />of the City of Lakewood provides for the Director of Finance to <br />periodically report the recorded facts and to show the full effect <br />of transactions for each fiscal year or part of a fiscal year, the <br />finances of the City in relation to each department of the City <br />government, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, each month a detailed, voluminous and full financial <br />status report in accordance with Article VIII, Section 3, is distributed <br />to each member of City Council, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council determines that it would be in <br />the best interests of the City to furnish a lesser amount of copied <br />paper constituting this monthly status report, such lesser amount <br />being six-sevenths (6/7) less affecting a yearly savings of approxi- <br />mately $1,310.00, an amount which does not include the time-saving <br />factor, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council is desirous that one (1) set of the <br />monthly Financial Status Report continue to be printed, published <br />and distributed to be placed on file in the Offices of Council for <br />official and public reference, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in keeping with the spirit of the intent of <br />Article VIII, Section 3 of the Amended Charter of the City of Lakewood <br />coupled with the responsibilities of public access and energy and <br />resource conservation, this resolution constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a municipal <br />department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized <br />to print, publish, and distribute to the Council of the City of <br />Lakewood a monthly financial status report to be placed on file <br />in the Offices of Council, lateral file of the Clerk's Office, which <br />reports the recorded facts and shows the full effect of transactions <br />for each fiscal year or part of a fiscal year, the finanaces of <br />the City in relation to each department of the City government. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
