RESOLUTION NO. 6585-91 <br /> <br /> BY: Gallagher, Gazzana, <br />George, Graham, Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Magnificat High School's girls <br />basketball team for their outstanding athletic achievement during the <br />1990-1991 high school basketball season. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Magnificat High School's basketball team, more <br />popularly known as the "Blue Streaks" made a great run at the Division <br />I state championships, but had to settle for second place ending the <br />year at 24-4. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by these outstanding accomplishments, Magnificat <br />High School's basketball team, by making it to Columbus to compete for <br />the state championship for the second year in a row, has brought due <br />recognition and honor, not only to themselves but to all of the <br />communities from which Magnificat enrolls students, including <br />Lakewood, and these accomplishments should be recognized in a proper <br />and fitting manner; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the City of Lakewood extends to Magnificat <br />High School's basketball team its congratulations and the <br />congratulations of all of the citizens of this community for its <br />outstanding athletic aChievement during the 1990-1991 high school <br />basketball season. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution <br />to Magnificat High School's Basketball Team, 20770 Hilliard Road, <br />Rocky River, Ohio 44116, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread <br />upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved, ~1~ /ffl <br /> <br /> SID~NT <br /> <br /> CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
