RESOLUTION NO. 6617-91 BY: Boscia, Gallagher, Gazzana, George, Graham, Roth, Smith A RESOLUTION to commend Lakewood resident and St. Edward High School sophomore Robert Bertalan for receiving the First Place ribbon for his artwork entry at the 1991 Cuyahoga 'County Fair. WHEREAS, the entry was one of many featured in the "any other craft" category in the art show held this August in Berea at the Cuyahoga County Fair by the Cudell Arts and Crafts Center, and WHEREAS, his prize-winning entry drawing entitled "Sugar Ray Leonard" was captured in the colored pencil medium, a skill which Bob refined under the guidance of professional graphic artist and teacher, Hector, and WHEREAS, Bob's artistic talents were realized as early as his first and second grade years until in fifth grade when he and his family moved to Lakewood where his talents were enhanced when his mom called Barton Center in pursuit of then~teacher Fran McIntyre whom Bob claims taught him "just about everything I know" in water color, landscape and charcoal media, and WHEREAS, this Council and Administration wish to extend to Robert Bertalan in a proper and fitting manner their commendation on his blue ribbon award which brings pride to himself and to the community in representing Lakewood county-wide; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE'CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this Council extends to Robert Bertalan its commendation on his being recipient of First Place award in the "any other craft" category for his "Sugar Ray Leonard" entry at the Cuyahoga County Fair.~ resolution 44107, and minutes of this meeting.
