RESOLUTION NO. 6638-91 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br /> Graham, Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to congratulate Thomas More Scott, Director <br />of Music at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lakewood, Ohio on <br />receiving the Choir Master certification from the American Guild <br />of Organists (AGO). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Scott is one of only four certificate <br />holders in the Greater Cleveland area, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the award is the result of a two-part <br />examination conducted nationwide in May and illustrates a mastery <br />of choral music, sightreading, chant, liturgy, hymnody, and <br />analysis, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in addition to his AGO certification, Mr. Scott <br />graduated August 10, 1991 from Bowling Green State University with <br />a Master's Degree in Choral Conducting and was chosen to lead the <br />graduating class in the singing of the Alma Mater at commencement, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Thomas Scott is a 1977 magna cum laude <br />graduate from Bowling Green State University; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the outstanding <br />achievement of Mr. Thomas More Scott in receiving the Choir Master <br />certification from the American Guild of Organists be <br />acknowledged and recognized in a formal resolution; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council extends to Thomas More <br />Scott its congratulations and that of all of the citizens of this <br />community on achieving the honor of holding the certificate of <br />Choir Master. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is <br />hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this <br />resolution to Thomas More Scott, 1371 Belle Avenue, Lakewood, <br />Ohio, 44107, and that a copy of this resolution be spr~g~J~u~on the <br />minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
