RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6689-92 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br />Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION expressing the congratulations of the <br />Council of the City of Lakewood, Ohio to Lakewood resident and <br />Figure Skater, Aren Nielsen on his outstanding performance at the <br />United States Figure Skating Championships in Orlando, Florida. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Aren Nielsen's recent ' move to the Lakewood <br />area has brought with it added pride and honor, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, special commendation and congratulations is <br />due to Aren Nielsen, 23, who advanced from his last year 12th <br />place finish to an astounding fifth place finish this year, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />Nielsen deserves <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> this exciting, hard-fought success of Aren <br />public cognizance and recognition; now, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />LAKEWOOD: <br /> <br /> 1. That this Council extends to Aren Nielsen its <br />congratulations, and that of all of the citizens of the Lakewood <br />community upon his spectacular achievements at the United States <br />Figure Skating Championships. <br /> <br /> 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this <br />Resolution to Aren Nielsen, c/o Carol Heiss-Jenkins, Winterhurst <br />Skating Rink, 14740 Lakewood Hts.
