RESOLUTION NO. 6708-92 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br /> Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor <br />to enter into an agreement with the U. S. Department of Housing and <br />Urban Development to accept the FY 1992 Emergency Shelter Grant and <br />with the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners to administer the FY <br />1992 Emergency Shelter Grant Program on behalf of the City of Lake- <br />wood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has received an Emergency <br />Shelter Grant from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Develop- <br />ment in the amount of $41,000 and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfare in that there is a pressing need for the homeless facili- <br />ties which these funds subsidize and for the further reason that the <br />funds are available. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO; <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lake- <br />wood, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an <br />agreement with and to budget and administer all Emergency Shelter <br />Grants received from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Devel- <br />opment. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That 'this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: ~ /~/ <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />~/P~ ~'~ i.de n t <br /> <br /> Clerk <br /> <br /> Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
