RESOLUTION NO. 6751-92 <br /> <br /> BY: Boscia, Gallagher, <br />George, Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Robert J. DelVecchio for his public <br />service as a member of the Department of Public Works in the City <br />of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, upon his retirement, effective August 31, <br />1992, he has completed 27 years of public service with the <br />Department of Public Works; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Bob has served the City in a variety of <br />capacities from foreman to Assistant Director/Utilities and <br />through the years has been called upon to work in many emergency <br />situations to restore water service to the citizens of our <br />community; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during Bob's tenure with the City he has been <br />responsible for implementing many innovative programs, including <br />the water meter change'out program which will increase meter <br />reading efficiency and improve customer relations, the Cross <br />Connection Control Program which insures the safety of the water <br />supply, and the water main replacement to provide increased fire <br />protection and continued improvement with the distribution <br />system; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, his ready acceptance of responsibility, his <br />leadership ability, his devotion to Lakewood and his desire to <br />render outstanding service bring him great credit; now,therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE' CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor hereby <br />extend to Robert J. DelVecchio its commendation, and that of all <br />the citizens of the Lakewood Community for his 27 years of public <br />service as an employee in the Division of Public Works of the <br />City of Lakewood, and further that this Council and Mayor wish <br />him continued years of health, happiness and prosperity in his <br />retirement. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
