OI,IrrI ON NO. 6820 - 93 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br /> Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION congratulating Adam Lewis on being among <br />36 national winners of the "Yes I Can!" awards from the <br />Foundation of Exceptional Children in Reston, Virginia. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. L'ewis was chosen by the foundation, which <br />works to enhance opportunities for the disabled, from 450 <br />nominees in the United States and Canada, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the winners are invited to an April 8, 1993 <br />dinner in their honor in San Antonio, Texas, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Adam Lewis, with hearing aids in both ears, <br />learned through a sign language system the mail delivery at <br />Lakewood Hospital, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Lewis worked for free last summer at <br />Lakewood Hospital providing an immeasurable benefit to those who <br />worked with him; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor hereby <br />extend to Adam Lewis their commendation and that of all the <br />citizens of the Lakewood Community for his outstanding <br />achievement in being awarded the "Yes I Can" national honor. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
