RESOLUTION NO. 6835-93 BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith A RESOLUTION to commend the Harding Middle School Moot Court Team'for their second place finish in the Moot Court Team competition; WHEREAS, Moot Court Competition, involving 20 middle school teams, is held at Case Western Reserve Law School, and is based on both oral and written competitions; and WHEREAS, the team, consisting of Jennifer Brown, Molly Gaewsky, Annelise Preslan, David Harbarger, Jennifer Pollum, Scott Osicka, Amanda Perkins, and Hilary Metelko achieved their success under the leadership of Faculty Adviser Sean McAndrews and Legal Advisor Todd Evans; and WHEREAS, Harding students Jennifer Pollum and David Harbarger were individually recognized as first runner up for Best Oralists for the Petitioner; and WHEREAS, the preparation for Moot Court involves dedicating many weeks to hard work, at the same time this preparation also encourages the students to think logically, to read and research in depth, helps them to understand the judicial system and how it works, teaches poise in public speaking and builds self-confidence; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this Council and extend to the Harding Middle School Moot commendation, and that of all the citizens Community for this outstanding achievement. the Mayor hereby Court Team its of the Lakewood Section 2.
