RESOLUTION NO. 6837-93 BY: Boscia, George, Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith A RESOLUTION extending congratulations to Father Jerome J. Duke on the 25th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. %-~HEREAS, throughout the years of his service to God and His People, Father Duke has, through his profound dedication and devotion to' the spiritual needs and welfare of all people, endeared himself not only to his parishioners, but to all those who have sought his counsel, advice and assistance, and WHEREAS, the parishioners of Saints Cyril & Methodius are not only deeply appreciative of Father Duke's spiritual guidance but are grateful also for his involvement in "Spirit Ranch", camping trips in Vermont for grade school and high school students, his participation in the elementary school as well as his role in the success of Fedor ManOr, and WHEREAS, Father Duke is noted for his meaningful, heartfelt sermons, his thoughtful attention to those of his parishioners suffering illnesses, and his care to recognize birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions of the members of his parish, and WHEREAS, this Council wishes to join with his many parishioners and friends in extending congratulations to Father Duke on the noteworthy occasion of his 25th anniversary as a Roman Catholic priest; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this Council extends to Reverend Jerome J. Duke its warmest congratulations and that of all of the citizens of this community, on the 25th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood and wishes him continued years of health, happiness and service to his church. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Reverend Jerome J. Duke at Saints Cyril and Methodius Church, 12608 Madison, Lakewood, OH 44107, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. CLERK
