~ESOLUmS~N NO: 6843-93 <br /> <br /> Z¥:Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br />Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A ~$oi~i~a extending congratulations to 9to5, National <br />Association of Working Women on the 20th Anniversary in its <br />headquarters city -Cleveland. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the 20th anniversary of 9to5 marks 20 years of <br />instilling pride, promoting the continuation of education, <br />empowering, supporting and enlightening women at the workplace, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS 9to5 is responsible for the 9to5 Working WOmen <br />Education Fund which is a non-profit organization devoted to <br />working with both women and employers to promote respect, <br />improved quality and greater job satisfaction, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, 9to5 chapters represented in more than 250 cities <br />nationwide carry a toll-free job problem hotline, boasting of <br />25,000 plus phone calls each year, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, 57 million women are now <br />throughout our community and our nation, and <br /> <br />in the workforce <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, .it is only fitting and proper that the national <br />advocacy organization, 9to5, be given public cognizance and <br />recognition on its 20th anniversary; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1.
