RESOLUTION NO. 6851-93 BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith A RESOLUTION extending commendation and appreciation to Sister Cabrini Ferritto, for her twelve years of outstanding leadership and service to our community, and congratulating her on her recent appointment to the offices of Councilorlof the Congregation and Treasurer of Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine. WHEREAS, Sister Cabrini's Italian Catholic family heritage enriched her with loyalty and commitment to the Catholic Church which has been the foundation of her joyful service to others as a Sister of Charity of St. Augustine for forty three years, and WHEREAS, she has loved her ministry and.the spiri% of co,unity as a Sister of charity Of St~ Augustine, serving on the Congregational Administrative Team from 1973 to 1981 supporting the sisters in their physical end psychological well being~ member of the St~ Ann Foundation Board of Trustees for sixteen years and currently on the St. Vincent Charity Hospital Board of Trustees, and WHEREAS, as an elementary school teacher from 1953 to 1969, and then principal of Assumption School, she developed relationships with parents and professional peers that demonstrated her outstanding leadership which led to her appointment by the late Reverend Robert Jenkins as Principal of St. Luke School in 1981, and ~ WHEREAS, in addition to her duties as Principal of the parish school, Sister Cabrini has served St. Luke Parish, Lakewood, and families in distress throughout the community by her organization of a Thanksgiving "Giving ~ree", monthly parish food collections for the Lakewood Christian Service Center, and the parish support for Providence House, snd WHEREAS, Sister Cabrini has been selected by her Community to serve in the offices of Councilor and Treasurer, where she will undoubtedly continue to exemplify the commitment of herself and her Community to their philosophy "In Omnibus Caritas" (in all things charity); now therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO Section 1o That this Council and the Mayor hereby extend to Sister Cabrini Ferritto commendation and thanks for her contribution to our community and congratulations on her appointment to her new offices with the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Sister Cabrini, c/o st. Luke Convent, 1221 Chase Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio 44107, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting. Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations
