PLACED ON let Reading ~ Referred to the <br />Committee of the Whole on 11/15/93. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6893-93 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br /> Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor to submit the <br />Final Statement for FY 1994 Community Development Block Grant funds <br />and all amendments thereto and all understandings and assurances <br />contained therein to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Under Title'I of the Housing and Community Development <br />Act of 1974, as amended and the regulations promulgated thereunder, <br />the Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development is <br />authorized to make grants to units of general local government to <br />finance Community Development programs; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The city of Lakewood continues to participate in the <br />Community Development Block Grant program and such funds are <br />necessary to accomplish its community development goals; and <br /> WHEREAS, The city of Lakewo°d proposes to apply for such a <br />grant and has, in that connection and as required by and pursuant to <br />the Act and Regulations, prepared a Final Statement of Community <br />Development Objectives and Projected Use of Funds which contain <br />local objectives, a description of activities to be undertaken, a <br />budget, and certifications in the form of assurances. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor is herebY authorized and directed <br />to submit the Final Statement and related certifications and <br />amendments thereto as necessary and to enter into an agreement with <br />and to budget and administer all grant funds received from the U.S. <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed <br /> to act in connection with submission of the Final Statement and to <br /> provide such additional information as may be required. <br /> <br /> Section 3.
