RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />694g-94 BY: <br /> <br />Boscia, F£annery, George, <br />Gibbons, Roth, Se~lie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to honor the St. Edward's Eagles 1994 <br />State Championship Hockey Team on winning its Fifth State <br />Championship. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, special commendation and recognition is due <br />to all members of the St. Edward Hockey Team and Coach Bob <br />Whidden and his staff for their outstanding spirit and <br />performance, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, their "Strive for Five" campaign led the St. <br />Edward Eagles '93-'94 Team to a 4-3 overtime victory over Findlay <br />at this year's seventeenth State Championship game, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, to excel in the sport of hockey, young people <br />must demonstrate teamwork, spirit and confidence in themselves in <br />addition to enthusiasm and hard work, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood wishes to extend its <br />expression of pride in the accomplishment of this hockey team for <br />having actualized those attributes culminating in championship <br />and bringing recognition to this community as well as all <br />Northern Ohio; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor hereby <br />extend to St. Edward High School Eagles Hockey Team its <br />congratulations and that of all the citizens of the Lakewood <br />Community for their outstanding athletic achievements. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
