<br /> A RESOLUTION to commend the 1994 Lakewood High School
<br />Roadshow for its recent earning of accolades and recognition
<br />from the 1994 Western Michigan University Invitational Vocal Jazz
<br />Festival and Kiwanis International.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the March, 1994 festival marked the 10th
<br />consecutive year that the Roadshow has received an "Outstanding
<br />Performance" award at this event; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, Roadshow members Christine Montgomery and
<br />Stefan Drotleff, as well as Centerstage member Alison Senkovich
<br />were individually recognized as outstanding soloists; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the rhythm section of seniors Matthew
<br />Charboneau, Bob Collins, Dave Malloy, and Chris Rigby was aptly
<br />recognized as best at the fest; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Roadshow has been invited to be a featured
<br />performer at the 1994 Kiwanis International Convention, and in
<br />June, 1994 they will represent Lakewood High School and the City
<br />of Lakewood as they travel to New Orleans, Louisiana, for this
<br />event; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Roadshow, now in its fifteenth year, has
<br />achieved its superlative successes under the leadership of
<br />creator and Director Gerald A. Wondrak; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the members of the 1994 Roadshow are
<br />Suzanne Baginski, Vanessa Baker, Nathan Brady, Matthew
<br />Charboneau, Bob Collins, Kyle Curley, Stefan Drotleff, Vic
<br />Furuki, Jennie Griveas, Nikki Lauria, Tammy Lewallen, Dave
<br />Malloy, Christine Montgomery, Julie Myers, Nadia Nakonecznyj,
<br />Chris Rigby, Katherine Schickel, Dave Schreiner, Emily Senko,
<br />Alison Senkovich, Christa Sinkewich, Michell Slife, and Pat
<br />Vanuch; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the 1994 Lakewood High School Roadshow,
<br />through their dedication, industry, and exuberant passion for
<br />their craft, have brought honor, distinction, and notoriety not
<br />only to themselves, but to the Lakewood Schools and to the entire
<br />community; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor hereby
<br />extend to Director Gerald A. Wondrak and the 1994 Lakewood High
<br />School Roadshow its commendation, and that of all the citizens
<br />of the Lakewood Community on its recognition earned at the 1994
<br />Western Michigan University Invitational Vocal Jazz Festival and
<br />from Kiwanis International.
<br />
<br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is
<br />hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of
<br />this Resolution to Gerald A. Wondrak, Lakewood High School, 14000
<br />Franklin Boulevard, Lakewood, OH 44107, and that a copy of this
<br />Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting.
