....... ~ REFERRED <br />TO PUBLIC WORKS CMTE on 6/20/94. <br /> <br />'RESOLUTION NO. 6972'94 <br /> <br />BY' <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizingrand directing the Director <br />of Public Works to submit an application and enter into an <br />agreement with the Ohio Department of ~Natural Resources <br />for the purpose of acquiring funds through the Recycling <br />and Litter Prevention Program pursuant to the Ohio Litter <br />Control Act of 1980. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of. Lakewood recognizes the need to <br />address recycling and litter prevention concerns within <br />the boundaries of the City and the need to address this at <br />the local level; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ohio Litter Control Act of 1989 <br />provides, through the Department of Natural Resources, <br />Division of Recycling and Litter prevention for the <br />purpose of allocation of funds in the form of grants for <br />the purposes of supplemental local Recycling and Litter <br />Prevention Programs. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD~ STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is <br />hereby authorized and directed to submit the necessary · <br />applications for and enter into an agreement with and t°. <br />budget and administer all grants received frOm the Ohio <br />Department of Natural Resources~ Office of Litter <br />Prevention and Recycling allocated from the Litter Control <br />Act of 1980. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this Council'and the Mayor hereby <br />endorse and support a Litter Prevention and Recycling <br />Program for the City of Lakewood and authorize the <br />necessary funds to implement said program, if approved, as <br />indicated in its application. <br /> <br /> SeCtion 3. 'It is found and determined that all <br />formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to <br />the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this'Council, and that all such deliberations <br />of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in <br />such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, <br />in compliance with all legal 'requirements. <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />President <br /> <br /> <br />
