RESOLUTION NO. 7053-95 BY: l~lan-~er¥, George, Roth, Seelie, Smith A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of Public Works, on behalf of the City to enter into a contract with Cleveland Trinidad Paving Co. for the resurfacing of streets. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 100-94 authorizes bidding and award of contract not to exceed $230,000.00 for Fry Avenue, $220,000.00 for Hird Avenue, $450,000.00 for .Ridgewood Avenue, $80,000.00 for Beach Avenue and $350,000.00 for Clarence Avenue. WHEREAS, bids received total $1,166,937.50 and the total authorized under Ordinance 100-94 is $1,330,000.00. WHEREAS, all bids on all streets are well under the amount authorized with the exception' of Clarence Avenue which has a not to exceed amount of $350,000.00 and the bid received was for $381,312.50. WHEREAS, the bid from Cleveland Trinidad Paving Co. was the lowest and best bid in total and it is in the best interest of the City of utilize this bid now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OE OHIO: Section 1. That the Director of Public Works, on behalf of the City, is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Cleveland Trinidad Paving Co. for Transportation Systems Improvements on Fry Avenue, Hird Avenue, Ridgewood Avenue, Clarence Avenue and Beach Avenue not to exceed a total of $1,330,000.00. Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberation of the Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements.
