PLEASE SUBSTITUTE FOR RESOLUTION NO. 7055-95; <br />PLACED ON 1st Reading & Referred to FINANCE <br />on 6/5/95. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7055-95 <br /> <br />8¥: Boscia, Flannery, George, Roth, <br /> Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION authorizing the payment of an incentive' award in the <br />amount of thirty-five dollars {$35.00) each to the members of the Division of <br />Refuse & Recycling {See attached list). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance 92-83 adopted March 19, 1984, the <br />City established an Incentive Awards Program for all employees of the City of <br />Lakewood including Foremen, but excluding all other managerial staff, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, all the employees of the Division of Refuse & Recycling <br />devised an efficient and cost effective plan to collect refuse and recycling <br />within the City of Lakewood which increased customer satisfaction and reduced <br />cycle time, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the re-engineering effort has resulted in substantial <br />financial savings to the City in excess of $750,000 over the past three years <br />and a monetary award has been recommended by the Incentive Awards Review <br />Committee and approved by the Mayor, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency providing for <br />the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council, pursuant to Ordinance 92-83 adopted <br />March 19, 1984, hereby approves and authorizes a payment in the net amount of <br />$35.00 each to all the members of the Refuse & Recycling Division through the <br />Incentive Awards Program of the City and congratulates all members of the <br />Division of Refuse & Recycling for their significant contribution to the <br />welfare of the City. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized and <br />directed to pay each individual of the Division of Refuse & Recycling the net <br />sum of $35.00 and to charge same to the General Fund. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergendy measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption <br />and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force <br />after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
