RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />7089-95 BY: Boscia, Flannery, George <br /> Gibbons, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION extending congratulations to the Lakewood High School <br />Rangers Football Team for its outstanding achievement during the 1995 football season. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in August the Lakewood Rangers set a numbers of goals and among <br />those was winning the Lake Erie League championship; this was accomplished with their win <br />over Shaw on October 27; and <br /> <br /> wHEREAS, on Friday, November 3 the Rangers defeated Normandy to remain <br />unbeaten for the 1995 season, the first unbeaten team since 1950, the 5th in the history of the <br />school; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Rangers. will travel to Finnie Stadium in Berea on Saturday, <br />November 11 to play Stowe in the Ohio High School Division 1, Region 1 State Playoffs; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this fabulous Ranger football team is currently ranked 6th in Ohio <br />by the Associated Press poll; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by their outstanding athletic accomplishments and good <br />sportsmanship, together with the expert guidance of their dedicated coaches, the Lakewood <br />Rangers Football Team has brought pride, recognition and honor not only to themselves and <br />Lakewood High School, but to our entire community; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That we honor the Lakewood Rangers Football Team for their <br />exceptional athletic achievement during the 1995 football season. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed <br />to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Coach Kevin Fell, Lakewood High School, <br />14100 Franklin Boulevard, Lakewood, Ohio, 44107, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread <br />upon the minutes of the meeting. <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
