RESOLUTION NO. 7105-96 BY: Bo$cia, Corrigan, Flannery, <br /> George, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Matron/Dispatcher Patric~a R. <br />Malley on her expert response to a call which resulted in the <br />saving of a life. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 18, 1995, Matron/Dispatcher Malley <br />answered a 9-1-1 call in which a female stated she believed her <br />husband had expired; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, with what must have been her natural gift of <br />discernment Matron/Dispatcher Malley asked pertinent questions <br />and was able to quickly determine that the male may have possibly <br />been alive and having a heart attack; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Matron/Dispatcher Malley immediately <br />dispatched Lakewood- Hospital paramedics and patrol units to the <br />scene; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, because of her quick, decisive actions, a <br />man's life was saved; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this meritorious act deserves thus elicits <br />public recognition, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor, hereby <br />extend to Matron/Dispatcher Patricia R. Malley <br />recognition and commendation and that of all the <br />citizens of the Lakewood Community for her expert <br />response which resulted in the saving of a life. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be, and she is <br />hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified <br />copy of this Resolution to Matron/Dispatcher Patricia <br />R. Malley, c/o the Lakewood Police Department, <br />Lakewood, Ohio 44107 and that a copy of this <br />Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />Approved <br /> <br />PRES IDENT <br /> <br /> , ', <br /> <br /> <br />
