RESOLUTION NO. 7"i 06-96 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, <br /> George, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Patrol Officer Elmer F. <br />Walling, Jr. for his meritorious act that resulted in the saving of a life. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 18, 1995, a 9-1-1 call was <br />received in the Lakewood Police Department in which a woman <br />believed her husband had expired, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after being dispatched to the scene Patrol <br />Officer Walling responded to the emergency situation by assisting in <br />cardiopulmonary resuscitation to the man, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Officer Walling's exemplary behavior in a <br />stressful situation contributed to saving the life of a man; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor extend to Patrol <br />Officer Elmer F. Walling, Jr. its appreciation and that of all of the <br />citizens of this community for his courageous actions. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be, and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to fonNard a certified copy of this Resolution to <br />Patrol Officer Elmer F.
