RESOLUTION NO. 7108-96 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, <br /> George, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Patrol Officer Todd L. Allen <br />for his meritorious act which resulted in the saving of a life. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 18, 1995, a 9-1-1 call came into <br />the Lakewood Police Department in which a female stated she <br />believed her husband had expired; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in response to the call, Patrol Officer Todd <br />L. Allen's unit was immediately dispatched to the scene; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on arrival, Patrol Officer Allen, <br />assisted along with Patrol Officers Larry R. Kirkwood, Jr. and <br />Elmer F. Walling, Jr., to perform CPR on the male until the <br />paramedics arrival; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, because of his quick, decisive actions, a <br />man's life was saved; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this meritorious act deserves thus elicits <br />public recognition, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor, hereby <br />extend to Patrol Officer Todd L. Allen recognition and <br />commendation and that of all the citizens of the <br />Lakewood Community for his meritorious act which <br />resulted in the saving of a life. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be, and she is <br />hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified <br />copy of this Resolution to Patrol Officer Todd L. <br />Allen, c/o the Lakewood Police Department, Lakewood, <br />Ohio 44107, and that a copy of this Resolution be <br />spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br />~2(YOR <br /> <br /> <br />
