RESOLUTION NO. 7155-96 BY: Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, George, Roth, Seelie, Smith A RESOLUTION commending Dr. Robert W. Jericho for his 37 years of service to this community. WHEREAS, Robert Jericho retired Thursday, February 29, 1996 as Deputy Superintendent of Administration of Lakewood City Schools, and WHEREAS, Dr. Jericho graduated from Baldwin Wallace College with a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, majoring in French and Education, his Master's and Doctorate Degrees are from Ohio State University, and WHEREAS, he began his care~r {n Lakewood in 1959 as a physical education teacher at Franklin Elementary School, from 1963 he served as Assistant Director in the Adult Education/Recreation Department until his appointment as Director in 1967, and WHEREAS, on January 1, 1982, he became Director of Personnel and Community Services, and was then appointed to the position of Superintendent, Administration on September 1, 1984, and WHEREAS, Dr. Jericho continues to be active in Adult Education and Recreation, generously serving the public as he has done throughout his life and it is only fitting and proper that such service be given public cognizance and recognition in a just and fitting manner; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE- C1TY OF LAKEWOOD; STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this Council and Mayor hereby extend to Dr. Robert W. Jericho their appreciation and comtnendation and that of all of the citizens of this community for his more than 37 years of dedicated public service to the City of Lakewood and further wish him continued years of health, happiness and prosperity in his retirement. Section 2. The Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Dr. Robert Jericho and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of fftis meeting.
