RESOLUTION NO. 7161-96 BY: Boscia, Corrigan, George <br /> Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to congratulate qualified participants of the Lakewood HOME <br />Program as new homeowners of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May I, 1995, Ordinance No. 43-95 was adopted by the Council of the <br />City of Lakewood allowing the Mayor to to enter into agreements, on behalf of the City, with the <br />Cuyahoga Housing Consortium, various lending institutions and individuals participating in the <br />Lakewood HOME ~°rogram; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City developed the Lakewood HOME Program to support home <br />ownership affordability within the City among eligible homebuyers; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Lakewood would like to provide participating <br />homebuyers with information regarding some basic programs, laws and policies concerning their <br />community in order to convey to them that the City is interested in assisting them and making <br />them feel more comfortable in their new surroundings; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the high quality of life here may continue through knowledge of basic laws <br />and policies such as parking and refuse regulations, recycling guidelines, pet information and <br />community development programs, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council and all of the citizens of the City of Lakewood, wishes to <br />warmly congratulate Lakewood HOME Program participants as new homeowners of this <br />community; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council, for itself and on behalf of all of the citizens of this <br />community, warmly congratulates Lakewood HOME Program participants as new homeowners <br />of the City of Lakewood and wishes for them much happiness, gratification and success in their <br />new surroundings. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That information regarding some basic laws and policies within the City of <br />Lakewood is hereby authorized and directed to be forwarded to qualified participants in the <br />Lakewood HOME Program in a format similar to attached Exhibit A (sample), at their new street <br />address, Lakewood, Ohio, 44107. <br /> <br />Adopted: (~'. , ,,'.~' .
