RESOLUTION NO. 7177-96 BY: Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, <br /> George, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION extending congratulations to Harrison School <br />on its centennial celebratiom <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on Friday, October 4, 1996 at 7:00 P.M. Harrison <br />School will be holding a celebration honoring 100 years of education in the <br />City of Lakewood, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, children at the school began celebrating their <br />school's history last year when they planted a centennial garden in an empty <br />lot at the corner of Thrush & Dowd, forming 100 flowers, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the school, like the Madson Park area it inhabits, <br />symbolizes dedication to family, neighborhood pride, and love of communityt <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is only fitting and proper that the vital <br />contribution to the commllllity at large Harrison School has made be given <br />public cognizance and recognition; now, therefore, <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ~ OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor hereby extend <br />congratulations and commendation to Harrison School on its lOOth birthday. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized <br />and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Harrison School, <br />2080 Quail Street, Lakewood, OH 44107. <br /> <br />President <br /> <br /> <br />
