RESOLUTION NO. 7182-96 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, <br />George, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to change the location of the' regular <br />meeting of Council scheduled for October 21, 1996, from Lakewood <br />City Hall to the Lakewood Civic Auditorium at Lakewood High <br />School, 14100 Franklin Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council desires to engage City residents in <br />the operation of local government, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council believes the best manner in which to <br />encourage participation in local government is to periodically <br />hold Council meetings in each of Lakewood's four (4) wards, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Article III, Section 4. of the Amended Charter <br />of the City of Lakewood gives Council the authority to schedule <br />meetings by resolution; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD: <br /> <br />Section 1. That pursuant to the authority of Article <br />III, Section 4. of the Amended Charter of the City of <br />Lakewood, the regular meeting of Council scheduled for <br />October 21, 1996, at 7:30 p.m. be held in the Lakewood <br />Civic Auditorium at Lakewood High School, 14100 <br />Franklin Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio. <br /> <br />Section 2. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized <br />and directed to give notice of the new meeting location <br />as provided in Section 1. herein to the public and <br />media in such manner as provided by the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood and the law, and to <br />the Mayor and all City departments. <br /> <br />PRE~/DENT <br /> <br /> <br />
