RESOLUTION NO: <br /> <br />7185-96 <br /> <br /> BY: Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, <br />George, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to recognize <br />Recycling and Litter Prevention Program, <br />service to the Lakewood community. <br /> <br />Barbara McOinty, Coordinator of the City of Lakewood <br />and the Keep Lakewood Beautiful Advisory Board for their <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Barbara McGinty and the Keep Lakewood Beautiful Advisory Board encourage <br />residents to become more conscious of their environment through recycling, beautification, and <br />education programs; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood's Litter Prevention and Recycling Program expanded under <br />Barbara McGinty's diligent leadership to include curb pick up of recyclable materials in 1990; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, students in Lakewood Schools have benefited from the Recycling and Litter <br />Prevention's education program by participating in annual telephone book collections, poster contests, <br />and environmental clubs; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Keep Lakewood Beautiful Advisory Board is a group of volunteer citizens who <br />are very dedicated to encouraging residents to beautify their properties; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Keep Lakewood Beautiful Advisory Board annually recognizes ten homeowners <br />and three businesses for their property maintenance and beautification; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Keep Lakewood Beautiful Advisory Board supports the Adopt-a-Spot <br />Beautification Program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is appropriate that Barbara McGinty and the Keep Lakewood Beautiful Advisory <br />Board be honored for their contribution to the Lakewood community; now, therefore <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor hereby commend Barbara McGinty and the Keep <br />Lakewood Beautiful Advisory Board members for their community service. Board members are Pat <br />Blesi, Rose Dziak, Gall Higgins, Nell MacDonald, Susan Powers, Betsey Stupiansky, Marian Wagner, <br />Mary Ward, Ralph DePolo, Larry Slavik, and Police Chief Matthew Biscotti. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of <br />this Resolution to Barbara McGinty and the Keep Lakewood Beautiful Advisory Board members and <br />that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br /> <br />
