RESOLUTION NO. : 7192-96 BY: Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, George, Roth, Seelie, Smith A RESOLUTION to commend Lakewood's Family Room in the Division of Early Childhood Services in the Department of Human Services on their receipt of the Ohio Department of Education's 1996 irene Bandy-Hedden Early Childhood Education Program Award; WHEREAS, the Family Room is a collaborative effort begun in 1994 between the city's Division of Early Childhood Services, Lakewood Schools, Lakewood Hospital, St. James Church and Ascension Church to meet the needs of Lakewood's families' parents and young, children; and WHEREAS, the tireless efforts of Judy Church and Toni Gelsomino are recognized statewide through this award for their bringing all the collaborators together to build community between families with parents of young children; and WHEREAS, the Family Room and its ongoing achievements is the Division's way of reaching out and revitalizing the community for which the City of Lakewood commends and acknowledges; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor hereby commend Lakewood's Family Room in the Division of Early Childhood Services in the Department of Human Services on their receipt of · the Ohio Department of Education's 1996 Irene Bandy-Hedden Early Childhood Education Program Award. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to be presented to Judy Church and Toni Gelsomino during the City Council Meeting at the Civic Auditorium, Lakewood, Ohio, 44107, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting.
