RESOLUTION NO. 7237-97 BY: <br /> <br />Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, <br />George, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend St. Edward Eagles Hockey Team for an <br />outstanding 1996-1997 hockey season. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Eagles exhibited great skill and sportsmanship, <br />culminating in an extraordinary 29-6-1 season, State Runner-up status, and the Baron <br />Cup, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the St. Edward Eagles Hockey Team, comprised of talented <br />athletes brought record numbers of fans to watch their spectacular performances, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by their outstanding accomplishments the St. Edward High <br />School Eagles Hockey Team has brought due recognition and honor, not only to <br />themselves, but to the entire Lakewood community; now, therefore, <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br /> Section 1. On behalf of the residents of Lakewood, the Lakewood City <br />Council extends to the St. Edward High School Eagles Hockey Team its commendation <br />and the commendation of all the citizens of the community for its outstanding athletic <br />achievements during the 1996-1997 high school hockey season. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
