RESOLUTION NO. 7Z38-97 BY: Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, George, Roth, Seelie, Smith A RESOLUTION to commend Timothy F. Hagan on being honored by the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affair's "In Tribute to the Public Service" Award and Scholarship program. WHEREAS, the "In Tribute" award and scholarship program has saluted 15 individUals since 1985 who have made significant contributions to public service in Greater Cleveland, and WHEREAS, Tim Hagan's significant contributions include four terms as Cuyahoga County Commissioner, a term as County Recorder in 1982 and a four year Chairmanship with Cuyahoga County Democratic Party, and WHEREAS, throughout his career as a public servant, Mr. Hagan has been especially concerned with improving services to the poor, the powerless, the elderly and the children, and WHEREAS, Tim Hagan may underestimate how much he has contributed to this world, how extraordinary his style, and how much he has achieved, but somewhere, deep within the reserves of his self-deprecating manner, he must know how proud he has made his family and friends, and WHEREAS, Proceeds from "In Tribute" support the Mercedes Corner Scholarship endowment at Cleveland State University; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OH]O: Section 1. That this Council and Mayor hereby extend commendation and congratulations to Timothy F. Hagan on his receipt of the In Tribute to the Public Service Award. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Timothy F.
