7344-98 Commend CVS for Preserving Bldg

RESOLUTION NO. 7344-98 BY: Corrigan, Flanner~, George, Roth, Seelie, Skindel~, Saith A Resolution commending CVS Pharmacy for preserving the building located at 11706 Clifton Boulevard, Lakewood, Ohio. VVHEREAS, the building now inhabited by CVS Pharmacy retains much of the structural configuration it had in the 1920s, and WHEREAS, over the years 11706 Clifton Boulevard has been the site of establishments such as Clark's Yorktown Dining Room, the Blue Fox, the Dock, the Copper Lantern and Siam Jams, and WHEREAS, CVS Pharmacy representatives have afforded Lakewood residents the opportunity to compare biographies in relation to the building should that be picking a toy from the treasure chest at Clark's Yorktown Dining Room or enjoying family dinners and celebrations at the various restaurants once housed there, and VVHEREAS, the people at CVS Pharmacy have honored the people of Lak~ by recognizing and preserving one of the city's distinguishable buildings and thus preserving many of the memodes it represents; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That CVS Pharmacy be commended for preserving a symbol of Lakewood's history through the preservation of the building located at 11706 Clifton Boulevard. Section 2. That this Council and Mayor wish to continue an essential partnership between the people of Lakewood and the business community and do hereby further resolve that the company managers, officials, employees and patrons of CVS pharmacy be warmly received by all of the citizens of this community. Section 3. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized and directed to fonarard a certified COpy of this Resolution to CVS Pharmacy and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting.
