RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION commending the Lakewood Charitable Assistance <br /> Corporation for distributing holiday food baskets to needy families in Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Charitable Assistance Corporation was formed in <br />conjunction with the Lakewood Jaycees and Kiwanis in 1988 to focus attention on the <br />less fortunate in Lakewood, and <br /> <br /> WHEREA~, the group coordinates community groups, school children <br />and individual volunteers to help collect canned and fresh food items for families (three <br />hundred this year) each Thanksgiving and Christmas, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the spirit Of generosity exhibited by the members o~f the <br />Lakewood Charitable Assistance Corporation is something in which ali of our citizens <br />may take great pride in; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO' <br /> <br /> Section 1 That this Council for, and on behalf of the residents of the City <br />of Lakewood, hereby commends the Lakewood Charitable Assistance Corporation for <br />its wholehearted efforts resulting in the success of h01iday food basket distribution <br /> <br /> Section 2 That the Clerk of Council be, and is hereby authorized and <br />directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Lakewood Charitable <br />Assistance Corp c/0 David Rothhaas, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread <br />upon the minutes of this meeting <br /> <br />Adopted: ~ J.~/ <br /> <br />PreSident <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
