RESOLUTION NO: 7-~16-99 <br /> <br /> BY: Corrigan, FitzGerald, <br />Roth, Seelie, Skindell, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to establish the LakewOod Community Governance Task <br />Force to review possible changes to the City of Lakewood Charter. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Charter Review Commission recommended the formation <br />of a Community Governance Task Force to complete the work the Commission started, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Charter Review Commission in its report recommended <br />several changes to the City Charter which update and reorganize Charter language, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Lakewood Community Governance Task Force <br />recommendations shall be submitted to Council by March 31, 2000, for final review of <br />ballot language and submission to the electors for the 2000 General Election, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, because the City Charter is one of the most important <br />governing documents for the City it shall be made up of volunteer city residents; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Lakewood Community Governance Task Force, <br />consisting of four (4) appointments by the Mayor and five (5) appointments by Council, <br />be formed to consider the recommendations of the Lakewood Charter Review <br />Commission and to make any other recommendations to Council. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this Council. and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />George, <br /> <br /> <br />
