RESOLUTION NO. 7427-99 BY: Corrigan, FitzGerald, George, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Skindell <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION expressing appreciation to the leadership of the North Union Farmers <br />Market for their sponsorship of the 1999 Lakewood Farmers Market Pilot Project. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the North Union Farmers Market sponsored an eight week pilot Farmers <br />Market in downtown Lakewood; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, many Lakewood citizens and visitors to our community welcomed the <br />Farmers Market and enjoyed shopping and gathering with their friends and neighbors and with <br />Farmers from throughout Northeastern Ohio; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a great deal of work, collaboration and effort was contributed to the success <br />of the Farmers Market by the leadership of the North Union Farmers Market, the Lakewood <br />Division of Police, the Lakewood Department of Public Works, The Department of Human <br />Services Division of Health, Department of Law and the staff of the Mayor's office. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br />Section 1. That this Council and Mayor, hereby emend to The North Union Farmers Market <br />its appreciation and that of all of the citizens of this community for bringing farm fresh produce <br />to Lakewood and for giving the citizens of Lakewood the opportum~' to meet and support Ohio <br />farmers. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward <br />a certified copy of this Resolution to Mary Holmes, representative of the North Union Farmers <br />Market, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />PreSident <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />Clerk, ~/ ' _ <br /> <br /> <br />
