RESOLUTION ?40. 7440~99 BY: FitzGerald, George, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Skindell, Smith. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to honor Lakewood High School Boys' Cross Country <br />Team Membar Jason Soja for his outstaxtding achievements during the 1999 Cross <br />Co~intry Season, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the LHS Boys' Cross Country program has finished the <br />century with statewkle recognition as the number one cross country team in Ohio, based <br />on State Meet firfishes, since 1928; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this year's Boys' Cross Country Team continued a tradition <br />of excellence by winning the OHSAA District and Regional meets and qualifying for <br />the State meet in Columbus on November 6th; at~d <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the outstanding 5th place finish of Jason Soja (15:471 earned <br />him due recognition on the awards p dltma at Scloto Downs as an All. Ohio framer; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, perseverance, drive, and commitment are words a~sociated <br />with Jason Soja and will surely be attributed to ldm throughout his athletic career and <br />throughout his life endeavors, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by his remarkable athletic accomplishments and good <br />sportsmanship, with the expert guidance of his dedicated coach, Rick Venturm Jason <br />Soja has brought position, recognition and honor, not only to himself, but to the enti~e <br />community; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That we honor Lakewood High School Boys' Cxoss Comatry <br />Team Member Jason Soja for his ontstandLng athletic achievement dttrlng the 1999 <br />Cross Country Season. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
