PLACED ON 1ST READING ~ REFERRED TO <br />PLACED ON 2ND READING ~1/00. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7467-00 BY: Corrigan, FitzGerald, <br /> George, Roth, Seelie, Skindell, <br /> Smith. <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of <br />Finance to sell through trade-in, one (1) 1982 Hendrickson, Model 1871-WA, 110 foot <br />Hook and Ladder Aerial Truck in conjunction with the purchase of one (1) new Hook and <br />Ladder Fire Truck. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City no longer needs one (1) 1982 Hendrickson, Model 1871-WA, <br />110 foot Hook and Ladder Aerial Truck and it is in the best interest of the City to sell this <br />obsolete equipment via a trade-in in conjunction with the purchase ofa new Hook and <br />Ladder Fire Truck. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for the <br /> immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the usual daily <br /> operation of municipality; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section I. That the Director of Finance be and is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> sell via trade-in one (1) 1982 Hendrickson, Model 1871-WA, 110 foot Hook and Ladder <br /> Aerial Truck in conjunction with the purchase of a new Hook and Ladder Fire Truclc <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of <br />this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that <br />resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all <br />legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for <br />the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor, otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force <br />after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br /> President <br /> <br /> c erk . /7 ' <br /> <br /> <br />
